Timing depends on braid size and complexity. Small braids usually take about one to two hours. Micro braids commonly require two to four hours or more, depending on density, extensions, and careful detangling needed to protect natural hair.
A proper Take Down performed by our stylists is designed to minimize damage. We use slow, conditioned detangling and protective techniques; occasional trimming may be recommended to remove weakened ends and maintain long-term hair health.
Our Take Down pricing reflects time and detail. Small braids are $60. Micro braids range $80–$100 depending on intricacy and time required. Final price confirmed after assessment and may vary with added detangling or extension removal.
You don’t need to shampoo beforehand unless requested. A dry or lightly moisturized scalp is fine; heavy product can complicate removal. We can cleanse and condition after takedown to restore moisture and remove buildup.
Reusing extensions depends on their condition. If hair was carefully removed, synthetic or human-hair extensions may be reusable after cleaning and detangling. We’ll inspect and advise; sometimes replacements or repairs are recommended to ensure a natural, secure reinstall.
